I am a teacher, having spent 34 years teaching all levels of students, kindergarten through university, working in Staff Development with peers, and now teaching writing classes to adults. I will always be a teacher.
The combination of my gift for working with people, my numerous and varied teaching experiences, and the specific skills and knowledge of counselors, channeled me into my second career. As a Life Coach and Speaker, I have the opportunity to affect many lives and also have them influence mine. I believe that learning is constant and fluid, and I know that every person with whom I come in contact is a teacher for me.

Personal
My home
is Bakersfield, California, in the central valley, where I live with my life partner. I am the proud, adoring parent of two caring,
intelligent, and successful adult daughters.
Motorcycling is one of
my favorite activities, and I’ve ridden my candy apple red Goldwing all over North America,
traveling from coast to coast several times.
I love traveling in the USA and abroad, hiking in the National Parks, participating with several book groups, and attending live theatre. I'm a huge fan of women's college basketball and have followed the California State Bakersfield Lady Runners since their inaugural season.
Trying out new recipes and concocting delicious homemade soups are high on my list.
I am grateful for a rich, full life that offers me many opportunities for having fun, doing satisfying work, and connecting with family and friends over a meal, a cup of coffee or tea, or a jigsaw puzzle.
